I like the idea that if anyone wants to know the winners they can go online for the list. I wouldn't because I really don't care but for those that do it's an option.

It'll never happen though, Hollywood's already having a massive meltdown because they believed they have more influence than they do. Besides these celebrities could never pass up an opportunity to preen and strut on stage congratulating each other for being so awesome at pretending while bashing half of America because they think we're stupid.

So don't panic, the "stars" will never give up the spotlight for anything as trivial as principles.

Yates on Monday told Justice Department lawyers in a letter that they would not defend in court Trump's directive that put a 120-day hold on allowing refugees into the country, an indefinite ban on refugees from Syria and a 90-day bar on citizens from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. 

Yates said she did not believe defending the order would be "consistent with this institution's solemn obligation to always seek justice and stand for what is right."~snip~

The False Hysteria of the Media and the Left

You know if you go by what the leftist lick spittle media is reporting then you could only come to one conclusion.
That America is having a total meltdown over Trumps recent immigration EO.

That's mostly because all they have to do is walk outside of their ivory towers,which happen to be in large urban centers, to get good sound bites and pictures of the protests.
The same crime ridden over populated urban centers that voted for Hillary like the herd of sheep that they are.

They also expect us to believe that these protests are some "spontaneous" reaction to Trumps perfectly legal exercise of his constitutional powers, instead of the astroturfed spectacle that it actually is. Which basically cements their belief that these large urban centers should determine the beliefs and policies for the rest of the country.

What's really missing from the lazy asshole media is reporting on what the rest of the country (real America) thinks of a temporary pause and extreme vetting of immigrants ,legal or not, from countries that constantly demonize Americans.
The fact of the matter is there are more than a few of them that want to kill and maim us and the left and their media enablers are fine with that.
As unbelievable as it is we seem to be living in a time where the media can subvert the safety of all Americans and be smug and self righteous about it.

The time may have come where we're not going to fall for it anymore.

Federal court halts Trump’s immigration ban

The federal court for the Eastern District of New York issued an emergency stay halting President Donald Trump’s executive order banning entry to the US from seven majority-Muslim countries tonight, following widespread protests at airports around the country. 

The court ruled on a habeas corpus petition filed by the ACLU on behalf of Hameed Khalid Darweesh and Sameer Abdulkhaleq Alshawi, who were denied entry to the US upon landing at JFK airport in New York City and detained indefinitely by Customs and Border Patrol. Darweesh spent a decade working for the United States military in Iraq as an interpreter and engineer and had been granted an entry visa after background checks; Alshawi had been granted a visa in order to join his wife and son who are already permanent residents of the US after their similar service with the US military. 

The court specifically ruled on Darweesh and Alshawi’s petition; the ACLU will have to include all other similarly-affected immigrants as part of a class action to have it apply more broadly. But the point of a stay is to preserve the status quo while a permanent ruling is made — something the judge specifically reminded the lawyers for the goverment in the courtroom. And as the tweet from the National Immigration Law Center’s Jackie Vimo indicates above, there is a likelihood of class certification.~snip~

Nakia, a petite 14-year-old with long hair and a sweet smile, killed herself overnight Sunday while live-streaming the event.

Administrators with the Florida Department of Children & Families would offer little detail Tuesday about Nakia’s death, other than to confirm that both child welfare administrators and the Miami Gardens Police Department were investigating the suicide death of “a child … in the care of a foster family.”

“We are absolutely horrified and devastated by the news of this young girl's death,” said DCF Secretary Mike Carroll. “We will do everything we can to support this family and all those who cared for her as they begin to heal from this tragedy. We will conduct a comprehensive, multidisciplinary special review to examine this child’s history and the circumstances related to serving the child.”~snip~

I don't understand how exclusionary politics  is going to turn things around. They lost because Americans of all kinds felt marginalized and ignored by the elitists.

Trump ran on some basic promises, to control the border, replace the leviathan ACA and to create a climate where business can thrive and spark jobs for the working class.

My opinion is that if pandering to illegal immigrants interferes with any of those things then Trump needs to tell Ryan to pound sand.
Maybe after we get our own house in order then we can accommodate the criminal illegals in our midst. Until then appeasement of illegals is off the table.

 Why liberal elites are so resentful of middle America

This week we saw a few perfect examples of why liberal coastal elites are so resentful of middle America: It’s because the supposed rubes and rednecks aren’t more resentful of the elites — or, more specifically, the elites’ “success.”
They don’t aspire to be like their self-appointed betters.
Some Americans just don’t need much; they don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to have a 1,500-square-foot house, watch football and go to church on Sunday. They don’t want to leave their hometowns to come to Silicon Valley or Washington, DC, or Manhattan. They place great value on community and living near family and carrying out family traditions.
That’s not hate, that’s not stupidity, that’s not racism — it’s their own version of the American dream.
On Monday Ned Resinkoff, a senior editor for the progressive ThinkProgress, wrote in detail about how rattled he was that his plumber, “a middle-aged white guy with a southern accent,” may have voted for Donald Trump.
The idea that his plumber may have different political beliefs left Resnikoff so rattled he “couldn’t shake the sense of potential danger.”
Two days earlier Melinda Byerley, founder of a Silicon Valley-based tech startup that does “free-range, artisanal, organic, customized marketing” with “Birkenstocks-on-the-ground expertise,” tweeted her expert opinion on Middle America’s jobs-`attraction problem.
It wasn’t very nice.
First she said Middle America needs to realize “no educated person wants to live in a s- -t-hole with stupid people,” which is why she said more big corporations don’t move to the Heartland: “Those towns have nothing going for them,” with “no infrastructure, just a few bars and a terrible school system.”~snip~
