Dualing outrage

This is the kind of crap America has come to.
On the one hand we got this....which really don't make sense.

And then this unhinged encounter.

Guy wearing Trump hat sues bar for refusing to serve him

In the first instance it's not the waiter's job to ensure he's serving those who "reside" here. I mean I'm assuming since they pointed out the women were "Latina" that the guy wanted to know their legal status.
Why?
Is that restaurant in the business of only serving citizens? Are foreign tourists not allowed to eat there?

In the second instance is the bar in the business of policing someone's fashion sense or their politics?
Every bar I've ever been to was in the business of making money. If you don't agree with their politics is the money somehow tainted?

Funny also how the media printed these particular stories, 2 out of millions of interactions in a day, specifically to malign supporters of the administration.
People need to get a grip and not allow themselves to be manipulated by the media.

Butt Burgers

You gotta love the rivalry that comes out of competition.

Trump labor nominee's company sued rival for implying its burgers came from cow's anus 

Donald Trump's labor secretary nominee, Andrew Puzder, doesn't appreciate being the butt of his competitors' jokes.
In 2007, CKE Restaurants, the fast food company headed by Puzder, sued rival Jack-in-the-Box for suggesting that the meat in Hardee's and Carl's Jr. angus beef burgers was anything but top quality.
At issue were two ads from Jack-in-the-Box. In one ad, Jack-in-the-Box employees laughed every time the word Angus was said. In another, Jack, the company's mascot, leads a meeting where he refuses to point to where Angus beef comes from.
"That's the sirloin area," Jack says, while pointing to an image of different cuts of beef from a cow.
"Jack, our competitors serve Angus burgers. Could you point to the Angus area?," a man in the meeting asks.
"I'd rather not," Jack responds.~snip~

From a consumers point of view ads like this should be hilarious and nothing more but, shockingly, there's an alarmingly significant number of people who allegedly don't get the joke.

CKE Restaurants saw initial setbacks in the case. Attempts to get an injunction to have ads removed from the air were denied, and a judge said he was not convinced by a survey submitted by CKE Restaurants that of 404 people, 36% thought Angus beef came from the butt of the cow.

Social Media, How far is to far?

Here's something to think about when sharing pictures of your little darlings on social media.

Girl Sues Parents over Embarrassing Facebook Photos

An 18-year-old girl from Austria has started legal proceedings against her own parents over their posting of embarrassing photos of her childhood on Facebook which she claims have made her life miserable.
The girl’s lawyer, Michael Rami, claims the girl’s parents have posted over 500 photos of her since 2009 without her consent, including photos of her having her nappy changed as an infant as well as her in toilet training.

Furthermore, her parents have refused to delete the images, which were shared with over 700 Facebook friends, with her father claiming they are his intellectual property.~

Grandparents need to pause before posting that cute little picture also. In an age where peoples history can be retrieved  with the click of a mouse, what might be considered cute and sharable could become embarrassing and turn those kids against you years from now.
