Apparently there is a lot of hope out there among the "dreamers" that Paul Ryan will save them from the Donald. Which proves once again that he couldn't care less about the middle class.
Trump ran on some basic promises, to control the border, replace the leviathan ACA and to create a climate where business can thrive and spark jobs for the working class.
My opinion is that if pandering to illegal immigrants interferes with any of those things then Trump needs to tell Ryan to pound sand.
Maybe after we get our own house in order then we can accommodate the criminal illegals in our midst. Until then appeasement of illegals is off the table.
Can Ryan Push Trump Toward ‘Humane’ Solution on DREAMers?

Nicole Kidman Believes in Democracy
This is a pretty basic concept and one that's not controversial at all.
‘I Believe in Democracy’: Nicole Kidman Clarifies Remarks About Getting Behind Trump
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, whether you agree or not,but for some reason people seem to give more weight to the opinions of celebrities. For the life of me I can't figure out why.
Slavish admiration for an actor/actress,musician or athlete is one thing if you're a child or young teen but adults should be able to differentiate between someone's skill at their profession and their ramblings on subjects that they have no more expertise at than the average person.
‘I Believe in Democracy’: Nicole Kidman Clarifies Remarks About Getting Behind Trump
Nicole Kidman yesterday clarified the remarks she made earlier this week about Donald Trump and the need for people to support him now.
Kidman said in an interview that now that Trump has won, “We, as a country, need to support whoever is the president. That is what the country is based on. And however that happened, it happened, and let’s go.”~snip~The "backlash" she's getting is over the top.

“I was trying to stress that I believe in democracy and the American Constitution. It was that simple… I’m out of it now. That’s what I said and it’s that simple.”Above is the statement of an artist, one who knows where her talent lies.

Trumps response to John Lewis is Perfect
This is pretty much a perfect example of why this country is starting to move in another direction.
Trump calls out John Lewis on his neglect of his constituents,Liberal policies focus to much on other concerns than allowing people's lives to be affected by the sewers they live in because of leftist policies.

Trump rips John Lewis: Worry about your ‘crime infested’ district
President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday morning returned fire on a top Democrat who said he was not a “legitimate president.”I would think that Lewis and some of his compatriots need to think hard about the legitimacy of their own positions and how derelict they have been in their duties to their own district before questioning the legitimacy of others.
A day after Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) said Trump was not legitimate, the president-elect told him to worry about his own district instead.
“Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk - no action or results. Sad!” Trump wrote in a series of tweets.~snip~

Leftists Disdain for the common man (woman)
This is a pretty good opinion piece on the divide between liberal coastal elites and the citizens in fly over country who want to live their lives and love their families.
The only thing I would add is an admonition to the liberal lackeys in the media. It's pretty obvious that they have no respect for the heartland and their intention is to insult and undermine the people and the administration that we chose. These ideological leftists have already proven to be enemies of the American people and they have no intention of stopping.
Why liberal elites are so resentful of middle America
This week we saw a few perfect examples of why liberal coastal elites are so resentful of middle America: It’s because the supposed rubes and rednecks aren’t more resentful of the elites — or, more specifically, the elites’ “success.”
They don’t aspire to be like their self-appointed betters.
Some Americans just don’t need much; they don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to have a 1,500-square-foot house, watch football and go to church on Sunday. They don’t want to leave their hometowns to come to Silicon Valley or Washington, DC, or Manhattan. They place great value on community and living near family and carrying out family traditions.
That’s not hate, that’s not stupidity, that’s not racism — it’s their own version of the American dream.
On Monday Ned Resinkoff, a senior editor for the progressive ThinkProgress, wrote in detail about how rattled he was that his plumber, “a middle-aged white guy with a southern accent,” may have voted for Donald Trump.
The idea that his plumber may have different political beliefs left Resnikoff so rattled he “couldn’t shake the sense of potential danger.”
Two days earlier Melinda Byerley, founder of a Silicon Valley-based tech startup that does “free-range, artisanal, organic, customized marketing” with “Birkenstocks-on-the-ground expertise,” tweeted her expert opinion on Middle America’s jobs-`attraction problem.
It wasn’t very nice.
First she said Middle America needs to realize “no educated person wants to live in a s- -t-hole with stupid people,” which is why she said more big corporations don’t move to the Heartland: “Those towns have nothing going for them,” with “no infrastructure, just a few bars and a terrible school system.”~snip~
Putting Down Obamacare
The gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair begins for the democrats.
Obamacare takes first real step closer to repeal after Senate vote
As much as I'd like to see O care repealed and replaced with something more consumer friendly and effective for all the sad truth is that government has now extended its grubby hands so far into healthcare that a true free market solution will be almost impossible.
But under the circumstances I'm more than willing to give Trump a chance to see what he can do,
